Seminar 2
Git. Monitoring & search. Gitflow. Tags. LFS. Bundles. Submodules.
Part 0
Create an empty repo. Add 5 sequential commits: each adds row i to the file and has message i. Try rebasing the last 4 of them interactively: rename, drop and squash some of them.
Part 1
Clone an existing repo (e.g. this one) into the local repo from the part 0. What happens?
Part 2
Push the repo to GitLab. Now create a new repo on GitLab and clone it/ Add the first repo as a submodule and push the changes. Try cloning the remote into /tmp. What happens? Update the repo from the previous part (push changes) then fetch the changes to the new one.
Part 3
Create a git hook which validates commit messages: [␣DESCRIPTOR␣]␣DESCRIPTION
-
DESCRIPTORis one ofADD,FIX,DEL -
DESCRIPTIONis a sequence of latin symbols and digits -
␣is a whitespace symbol
To use the hook create an additional script install
which installs the hook. The solution must be committed to hooks branch.
